Great question! There are a few important reasons why you’ll want to work with us.
- You’ll need to find the right place for you and that can be a complicated process. Once you factor in the time it takes to research resorts, contact them, negotiate, compare apples to apples, it becomes a lot.
- Once you find the resort, you’ll be the point person for everyone’s questions. This part gets especially frustrating when you don’t have an answer and need to take time to look something up before you can help your guests. Trust us, you don’t want to be answering your phone on the morning of your wedding trying to help your guests get to the ceremony.
- Because we have relationships with the resorts in Mexico and the Caribbean, we can often secure certain perks that aren’t available to the public. We get access to certain group rates and extras that save you money.
- When we match you to a resort, we take into account things you might not have even considered. This includes things like wheelchair accessibility, dietary restrictions, beach access (and quality of the beach at the resort), the quality of amenities, and more. We handle things like: How to handle it if your guests don’t pay their deposits in a timely manner, flights getting delayed or cancelled, or what to do if you need to reschedule everything due to circumstances out of your control.
- We handle all of the “what ifs” and travel details that are easy to overlook until it’s too late. We’ll communicate with your guests, arrange payment plans, accept payments, oversee the process for travel insurance, transportation, excursions and more. It’s impossible to juggle all of this while still balancing it with work, pre-wedding events (like your bridal shower), your other items on your wedding to-do list, and of course, getting good sleep.
While we aren’t wedding planners, we do help with finding the location in Mexico and the Caribbean as well as the resort. However, we can connect you to our preferred vendors who have done an excellent job with past weddings and who our clients love.
What services are included in your wedding packages?
We find the destination in Mexico or the Caribbean for your wedding and then we’ll provide several options for resorts that fit your wants, needs, vision and budget. We also book all of the travel logistics for you and your guests and we’re available to answer any questions. We also negotiate rates at the resort for you and include special perks when available to make your experience even more special.
Yes, we book weddings in Mexico and the Caribbean.
Our services are absolutely free to you. Our fees are paid by the resorts so you’ll never have to worry about getting any invoices from us. The resorts all pretty much pay the same amount to us so we aren’t invested in recommending any one resort to clients. We focus on giving you the best fit because we want you to have the dream wedding you deserve.
We can provide the guidelines for the area but we don’t file or process legal documents.
Absolutely! We are passionate about ensuring weddings are inclusive and have the features and amenities that work for everyone on your guest list. We can recommend resorts that are Autism certified, have ample wheelchair access to ceremony locations outdoors and have the most comprehensive menus to fit any dietary need. In addition, some resorts offer services for parents of babies and young children (such as babysitting options, bottle warming services, cribs, strollers and more). We’ll share which ones are best for you and your guests’ unique needs.
Yes! We believe in inclusivity and the right to love who you love. We are happy to support same-sex couples who want to get married in Mexico or the Caribbean.
Ideally, you’ll want to start planning 14-18 months prior to your event.
This gives your friends and family enough time to plan and save for their trip.
Typical weddings range from ultra intimate (think 30-60 people) all the way up to 500 people. It depends on your unique vision and we can always find a resort that will work for your estimated guest count.
Yes, we’re here to answer questions from you and your guests. We won’t leave you hanging!
Some choose to visit the resort in person (which we encourage) to confirm their choice. This can be a great way to get a taste of the experience you will have there and often the resorts will give you a reduced rate for staying there if you are checking them out on a scouting trip for your wedding. However, some resorts are extremely popular and have limited openings during wedding season so if you plan out a trip to see the resort that isn’t happening soon, you could miss the chance to secure it. We provide a good deal of information and have videos of past weddings we can show so you get a feel for the resorts so no matter what you can feel comfortable with your decision.
Most of our clients get matched to several resorts after just one or two calls with us and make their decision fairly quickly afterward. We provide videos and pictures from past weddings and our advice from first-hand experience at the resorts to help you narrow down and pick the best resort for you with confidence. Some clients need more time to discuss everything with their friends and family (which we totally understand). We make the process as fun and fast as possible so you can start checking off the other things on your wedding to-do list (like booking your other vendors and sending out the Save the Dates).
